Guess I'll start with this week, pretty eventful as weeks go! A holiday, updates on uni's, exam results and a new Clark's store to work in. Firstly I can't wait for the Summer because I am actually going to HONG KONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To say I'm excited is a serious understatement, I never thought I'd get the chance to go there so soon but I am and well I'm just stuck for words. There's sooooooooooooooo much I want to do when I go. I've been researching for lots of info and checking out info on the coolest, greatest attractions. Things I want to do and go to most are Jumbo Kingdom, Avenue of Stars *Jet Li's handprints!*, The Peak including Maddame Tussauds, Ocean Park, Lantau Island - giant bronze Buddah, Po Lin Monastary and Ngong Ping 360. Want to go shopping in Kowloon and Mongkok. Ah there's so much, still quite a way off though, 4 months. Also can't wait because it will be like the first time I've been abroad and been on a plane!

Heard from SOAS this week and yup they don't like me unluckily, another decline to add to the collection but i'm feeling ok about it. I don't think at this rate I will be going to uni, well...not this year so I need to really figure out a plan for life after 6th Form although I am dreading that, saying bye to all my friends but it def won't be a last goodbye!

Got my resit results this week and they were very suprising. I thought I had done so much better in geog this time but no I totally bummed it, I did even worse than last time, still got a flaming grade D so retaking those, I'm determined to do better than that! Came as quite a surprise because I revised geography so much and I came out of the exam feeling positive unlike the English one which I thought I had totally failed but I actually got a grade A which I am still shell shocked about. I can't believe I improved by 3 grades! How the hell that happened I just can't believe it, I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd get that grade ever! So that cheered me up no end of good after the geog results and the unis.

The new Clark's store was opened up this week and it was my first day at work on Saturday. The new store is massive, I was in stock for the 4 hours at work. The stockroom is way bigger, it can fit around 25,000 pairs of shoes. It was incredibly busy, so much so that there were about 3 - 4 of us in stock at one time. A very different experience but was fun. Worked pretty much non-stop, the people in stock were really cool, I was the only one from my old store who was put in stock, everyone else was on the shopfloor on kids or adults shoes.

It's been a good week for TV in my opinion. I am seriously addicted to Deal or No Deal, can't get enough of that programme. My two fave contestants were on this week, Germaine who won £75,000! but actually had the £250,000 box! Candice was also on this week and she won £19,000 and had the £75,000 box which she would have actually swapped for a box that contained £500 so she made a bloody good decision. Would have been awful if she had gone away with such a small amount.

One TV programme that came to an end this week that I've loved is Hotel Babylon, sure it's over the top but it's just really entertaining and got such a great cast.

Other things that happened this week were Em, Ali, Adam and Matt coming round my house which was fun. We watched Royal Warriors starring Michelle Yeoh and Henry Sanada which totally kicks ass, they do some insane stunts! Love the cheesy music, and the random guy who just wants to be left alone bless him "I don't know her I just came for tea and biscuits" Also watched China Strike Force which is essentially rubbish but in a good way, which other film stars Aaron Kwok, Wang Lee Hom, Norika Fujiwara, Ruby Lin, Mark Dacoscas and get this Coolio! what the heck were they thinking when they came up with that!? well...they obviously weren't because in this movie the acting is dire, storyline non existant but the action when it happens totally rocks!

Well that's the latest update, no doubt there won't be another one for another couple of months so catch ya laters everyone!!!

btw what's peoples opinion on the music, should I change it or should I keep it?

Sunday, January 01, 2006

So that's it, the end of 2005! Here it is 2006! Can't believe 2005 has finished! I still keep on thinking it's July. Where did it all go? Here in this blog I'm going to take a look back at all my fave moments of 2005. My fave movies, songs, TV programmes and new interests.

To begin with I think I'm going to start with the movies of 2005. My personal favourite (which might surprise a few) from last year was the brilliantly inventive Kung Fu Hustle. It was easily the funniest movie of 2005. Stephen Chow is one of the most original film makers I have come across with his brand of mo lay tau (nonsence) comedy. The story goes something like this. The murderous axe gang are on the rampage in 1940s Hong Kong killing anyone that annoys them until a band of legendary unlikely heroes crawl out the woodwork and show them what for! My favourite scenes in this particular movie would have to be the knife throwing one, the looney tunes style chase scene and the end fight scene. It has unforgettable characters such as Land Lady, Land Lord, Sing and The Beast. Thoroughly entertaining from start to finish there isn't a film quite like this one.

My second favourite film of 2005 would be Unleashed (Danny the Dog) starring Jet Li, Morgan Freeman and Bob Hoskins. It tells the story of a man (Danny) who has been raised in a similar way to that of a dog until one day finds a new family and learns the truth about his past. A great idea mixing action and drama into the same movie. It seems as if you are watching two movies for the price of one. Some amazing action scenes by the master choreographer that is Yuen Wo Ping (Kung Fu Hustle, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Kill Bill, The Matrix) with Jet Li pulling off some impressive moves. The fights are brutal and don't rely so much on wires which is always a bonus. Higlights would have to be the very beginning fight and the end one that finishes with Jet duelling with a samurai like guy in a tiny bathroom. The drama is also excellently filmed in the movie. Jet Li gives a great performance, one of his strongest ever. I generally felt sorry for the mistreated character. Morgan Freeman plays the usual lovable nice guy that helps and cares for Danny as if he were his son. Bob Hoskins also gives a great perfomance as he plays the truly evil character of Bart and another mention should go to Kerry Condon who plays Sam's (Morgan Freemans) adpoted daughter who helps Danny realise who he is and helps him to become human again. With it's blend of brutal action, gripping drama and blend of humour this film can't be missed!

My third favourite film of 2005 would be Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. A remake of Willy Wonker and the Chocolate Factory, directed by one of my favourite directors, Tim Burton and starring another fave of mine, Johnny Depp. Tim Burton creates a surreal blindingly coluorful chocolate and sweet filled land. My kinda place to live! Everything and everyone is abstract and pantomime like especially the grusome kids and their parents. It's a mixture of adventure, comedy, fantasy and even musical with the oompa loompas bursting into song every now and then. The best family movie I have seen since The Grinch and Shrek 2.

The remainder in my list is as follows:
Batman Begins: Absolutey brilliant, entertained and gripped right through, excellent perfomances from all. A truely brilliant cast with Christian Bale, Katie Holmes, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Scarecrow was the scariest charcter from any film this year!
Wallace and Gromit: Just as hilarious as Chicken Run and the shorter outings of Wallace Gromit.
Team America: Insane from start to finish, great idea, the more I see it, the more I find it hilarious
Howl's Moving Castle: Totally original, fantastic story, memorable characters. The beginning and middle are pure magic but it loses it at the end.
Ong Bak: Rubbish plot, amazing action and the robotic man cracks me up each time!
Land of the Dead: We love you George and Leader Zombie, who would have thought we'd route for the zombies. Is this a joke movie or what!? I'm confused. Whatever it is, it's great!

The most rubbish films I have seen at the cinema this year go as follows:
1. Seed of Chucky
2. The 40 Year Old Virgin
3. White Noise
4. Pride and Prejudice
5. Oceans 12

The most surprising movie I saw at the cinema was Mr and Mrs Smith which I enjoyed way more than I expected. Other films I enjoyed a lot more than I should have were Hide and Seek and Skeleton Key.

Wednesday, November 30, 2005

Hey everyone! haven't updated since my birthday so I think I'll talk about that. Basically it was GREAT!!! Thanks everyone for making it such an awesome weekend!

Friday - Went downstairs in the morning opened my cards and present, got a digital camera and I it! Can expect lots of pics on the site now! After I'd opened my present from parents my next door neighbour who is more like an Aunt to me, brought me a bottle of champagne, which seemed really weird as I hardly drink at all and 2 cards!

School was a quite fun, everyone was really nice to me though! Got a card from Lorna which was really kind, thanks! I felt pretty bad as I didn't get her one though as our birthdays are on the same day. Bob bought me a delicious cake from Tesco's and Amy gave me a really funny card and Mulan on DVD! wohoo! thanks so much, you rock!

After school I went home and checked out my Mulan DVD then got ready to go round Tamsins to celebrate her birthday. Was really fun at Tamsins, had some delicious pizza's (cheese and tomato, meat feast and bbq with bbq sauce instead of tomato puree) and had a great conversation with Tamsin, Hannah, Chris, Josie, Alex and Sophie as usual! When I got there we exchanged presents. I gave Tamsin a peacock bag with sequins which I was really happy had finally arrived as I was worrying it wouldn't get there on time, I ordered it off the net you see.

Tamsin, Sophie and Chris however gave me an absolutely amazing present which I am still so excited about! It's a machine with a pen and pad that lets you write in Chinese and it comes up on the computer, it helps me to the learn the language and speaks back to me! It's so cool! Only problem is all the instructions are in Chinese lol! but that's getting sorted. I got back to my house around 12.00 after a really cool night! When I left Tamsin gave me a big tub of raisins hehe and when I got home there was an 18 balloon for me but as I have said before as Ellie knows so well, I'm easily pleased! btw Happy Birthday Tamsin!!!

Saturday was a really cool day too. First great thing was that I had NO work!!! wohoo! but that didn't stop me from going to MK did it now, no it most certainly didn't.

Went with mum and sis, Ellie my sis, wanted to buy me a birthday present so who was I to stop her lol. Looked around the olde DVD shops for some bargains, Caroline knows just how important that is! Finally found a great deal in HMV buy one get one free, so my sis bought me Taeguki and In the Mood for Love. Also had to find a present that Grandma could get and found this great little disc that plays any region DVD on a PS2 oh yeah!

I then met up with Angus when he was on his lunch break which was fun and interesting, as are most convo's with Angy lol.

When I got home I tested out the discs and had lunch, didn't want a lot so as to not spoil my appetite later.

Spent most of the rest of the day cleaning up and making the house look respectable for later on. Before I knew it, it was time for me to get ready for my party, didn't want to be late like the last years hehe.

On the way to Royal Lido restaurant, we picked up Caroline and Chris. When we got into the restaurant, there were 3 tables linked together for us with a spinny thing in the middle of each, perfect.

Because there were so many of us though, it would take ages to order so we basically had a lucky dip, the staff recommended that they just brought some of the best food on offer. The staff were brilliant that night, so friendly and welcoming, the food was amazing! I think everyone would agree. While we waited for the duck *drools* I opened my presents, I absolutely love all the presents I got! Tamsin, Sophie and Chris got me some really cool chopsticks with faces, hehe. Mel, Hannah, Mike and Cerise gave me an enormous stick with possibly the sweetest marshmallows I have ever tasted on, a bag full of white chocolate with hundreds and thousands on, some bubbles in mini champagne bottles, a cool ancient warrior model, 30 Ferror Rocher (my fave chocs!) and a gift card from HMV to buy Unleashed on DVD. Ali bought me a brilliant red model of a Chinese Dragon. Matt got me a massive Toblerone mmmm. Bob got me a wicked Chinese poster. Alex got me Koma on DVD!, Em and Adam got me Ong Bak on DVD! at long last I have seen it! It's brilliant! and crazy as is Koma. Chris got me Escape from Hong Kong Island on DVD! wohoo, looking forward to seeing that, keep thinking it's called Escape from Monkey Island though haha. Angus got me a portable Monopoly game lol, looks like we'll have to play that eh Monopoly gang, you know who you are. Caroline got me a picture of Sasha Behar aka Maya Sharma from Corrie! with her autograph! and gift vouchers for HMV and Virgin. DVD shopping I go! Nicky, Chris, Glenn, DJ and Ellie gave me money and Steve got me a cool giant novelty pencil even though he didn't come to my party. Thanks everyone!!!

At the restaurant I had lots of Chinese Tea and some of the food we had included Crispy Peking Duck, Seaweed with Cinamon (I think), Chicken and Chilli, Spare Ribs with BBQ Sauce, Won Ton, Prawn Crackers, Chicken Satay on Skewer, Chinese Style Chicken Curry, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Egg Fried Rice, Noodles and so much more! Damn, I've made myself exceedingly hungry.

After the meal I was completely stuffed but the staff brought me over an ice cream/cake with choclate and strawberry sauce with a candle and lolly in and sung Happy Bithday to me. Was really kind of them, i laughed quite a bit that I blew out the candle while they were singing lol. I felt so incredibly full, it was so good, I ate as much as possible but just couldn't finish it and shared it with the others.

After the party Em, Adam, Caroline, Mel, Bob, Ali, Chris and I went back to mine for cake and champagne. Got home, got sung Happy Birthday again lol, had a photo of us all taken, played some Tekken 5, then watched Ong Bak! wohoo!

Great film, some amzing stunts, really rubbish plot though and we love the crazy evil old guy with the strange fake voice lol!

We then walked Caroline home and Ali went too, when we got back to mine, we attempted to watch Old Boy but fell asleep lol, all pretty shattered! hehe.

Sunday was lazy day, didn't do much apart from watch TV, eat cake, do some art and watch Mulan! and Koma!

So just want to thank you all for coming to my party, had a great time, thanks for the pressies, all too kind. I would say that this has been the best birthday I've ever had because all of you are just the best bunch of friends I've ever had and Nick luvs you all!!!

btw my apologies if I sounded like a bit of a spoilt brat, I promise you I'm not. Pics coming later!

Thursday, November 24, 2005

This is going to be my shortest blog, just wanted to post my last blog before I reach that scary old age of 18. Basically just want to say being 17 has been great and that's mainly to all you guys and gals! Best mates EVER!!!

Sunday, November 20, 2005

Hey hey all, it's taken me a rediculously long time to write a new blog but here it is. Where do I start? So much has happened, so many great meals I've had and none of them from Pizza Hut, yay! Since I wrote my last blog, 3 meals in Chinatown, one at Chiqueto's for Sophie's Birthday wohoo! twice to Chilli's, one of them at Ali's birthday wohoo!, Elements, Frankie and Bennies, Royal Lido twice and the Mysore at Newport for my dads birthday wohoo! plus lots of takeaways.

Been to London a fair few times, met my really cool internet friends Teik and Alice plus Alice's ma. Been to the cinema a lot, plus fallen asleep accidentally a lot *ahem* Corpse Bride. Bowling has become a regular thing too which I def can't complain about.

Also film club has started and I'm loving it! Monday lunches rule! Love it when we all go round someones house, Adams rocked! and it was lots of fun people came round mine to watch the legendary Future Cops and A Tale of Two Sisters.

Work has been a bit ultra mad! Three supervisors come and gone, 1st went to uni, 2nd sacked and 3rd literally disappeared into thin air. Lots of new staff, I've been helping them and training them up which is kinda weird, but I guess I have been working there for nearly 3 years which is very scary! Lots of work friends left to go to uni's but they're back in the Christmas Holidays.

I just want to say a great big Happy Birthday too all the people who have had they're birthday since my last blog!

Happy Birthday to all my awesome friends!!! Sophie, Ali, Amy S, Cerise, Caroline, Nicola, Bob, Ray and to Tamsin, Hannah and Teik who's birthdays are approaching! Also can't wait, because I'm turning 18 this week!

One other great night was when we all went round Amy's, movies, games and some crazy ass fireworks and sparklers, some were on the bloody floor! Haha that was dangerous but fun nevertheless.

Another fun night was the world feast at the church with Tamsin, Sophie and Chris, eating lots of Chinese, Indian and Italian food.

Two more great nights were Tamsin and Chris' anniversary celebration, 3 years! and staying round the farm!

So apart from all that and school, there isn't much more to tell I don't think. So I'll start with yesterday.

Work yesterday was fun, had the radio on all day in the stockroom, the music was average but Vernon Kay and Sarah Cox never fail to make me laugh so was worth it. I also did a bit of work too lol, same old thing but unpeeling stickers on old sale shoes too, does it get much better than that!?

I met Angus briefly after work which was cool, always good to end the day with a friendly face, funny convo we had.

Highlight of the day was seeing Nick and Vanessa again! Congrats Vanessa for getting a new job! Hope it all goes well for you!

After work, went bowling with Adam, DJ, Nicky and Em to celebrate Bobs birthday. However celebrations for individuals work better if they actually turn up! *hint* *hint* lol. Anyway was lots of fun, Adam kicked some butt at bowling and I lost horribly, those bowling balls were just meanies! Also Nicky has the greatest uniform ever! hahaha

Afterwards we went to Elements 'Eatery' hehe. Was yummy!, 2nd time I'd been there but unlike last time they had lots of food! Was all very nice! We should make it a regular thing. SATURDAYS are the new FRIDAYS! Learnt quite a bit, funny lighthearted chatter, game of truth, was a good night, unfortunately Nicky couldn't join us for the meal.

Then it was off to catch the bus at 20 to 11 and off to Adams, even DJ came. We watched the brilliant American Dad then Blade which I fell asleep in almost instantly, woke up to lots of Takeshi's Castle, Em getting married to Adams dog and crazy 'drunk' people on TV.

Left Adams at 4.00am. I realised I'd left my keys at work so couldn't get into my house lol! Me and Em went to my house before to wake my parents up but no matter how many times that doorbell rung or I faintly shouted MUM! they just didn't wake up. The window was opened slightly and the only thing we could hear was my dad snoring doing a duet with the doorbell lol! Wasn't quite how I thought the night/morning would pan out. So I then walked Em home and then rung my parents there, after about 3 phonecalls my mum picked up. I then ran home incase my mum fell asleep again. Was surprised at how much energy I had at that time of morning. Then got home, said goodnight, brushed teeth and off to sleep.

Today hasn't been quite as weird and wonderful as yesterday, went to Milton Keynes, pick up keys from work, phew thought I had lost my Kung Fu Hustle Keyring! After that I then went clothes shopping, ended up buying a quite expensive (nothing compared to Tamsin and Mikes expensive though) but VERY warm and VERY needed coat!, and a really nice shirt and t-shirt. Bought some sweets from Pick n' Mix stall I'd not been to for absolutely ages, pronbably 7 - 8 years, bought small strawberries and cream chocoalte from expensive choc place, had a tea and cookie in John Lewis, bought Nicky's belated birthday present and Tamsins not so belated card. A success compared to some dire shopping trips! actually bought some stuff and not one DVD! Caroline will be angry lol

So that's about it I think peeps, will update this more often then I have been for sure cya later one and all!!!

Saturday, August 27, 2005

Hey hey hey everyone! And so the time has come for my next blog. I have been putting it off for ages because I have been quite busy and done quite a lot since last time, this one features 3 whole day trips! I could just not mention a lot of it but I always have an urge to write absolutely everything that I have done so here we go. First I guess will be the Oxord trip.

Well...it all started off with me getting up rediculously early, around 6.00 to catch the 7.15 bus to MK. I walked down to the bus stop with Adam and met Em on the way. When we got to the bus stop we met Matt and Adam met a funny friend of his who didn't actually come with us. I rung Ali because he was going to miss the bus if he didn't get a move on. Sure enough, he did miss the bus and had to meet us later. On the bus journey we then met up with Mel, DJ, David and Mike. When we finally got off the bus at MK we then met Ali, Chris and Angus whilst playing Big Two lol! We never go out anywhere without cards, and we only play one game.

Whilst the others play cards I left with Angus to get some money out of the cash machine which didn't let you take £40.00 out. Bloody machines! Then we made our way back to the rest of the group and off we all went to jump on the next bus. While we waited for the bus, Em said a couple of disturbing things to DJ without realising. The bus arrived and we all got on, I was last and the bus driver didn't have any change for £10.00 so Mike helped me out with the money but that's ok because he is loaded!! lol.

On the way to Oxford I sat next to Angus. It was quite a fun journey, was funny watching Angus spill his drink over himself repeatedly, hehe. The whole journey went very quickly as Angus and I listened to our MP3 players while the rest of the bus looked as if they were playing cards. Once we stopped off at Oxford we went into a pleasant coffee bar. DJ and Mike were the only ones who bought drinks if I remember rightly, while me and Adam but a croissant each. At the coffee shop we met Ellie who took a different bus all by herself!

Once out of the coffee bar one thing led to another and we got lost, haha! A lot quicker than I had expected too. As usual people blamed me, no idea why. So people took over like Mike and Matt and led us in even more crazy and more pretty (as Matt put it) directions. On the way I hid behind a wall and made Mel jump a mile lol! (even though Angus already warned her and I had previously made Em jump a tiny bit literally seconds before.) Won't forget her face, looked as if she had seen a spider whilst being electrocuted at the same time hehe.

After about hmmmm maybe half an hour of going round in a bloody circle one very sensible person by the name of Adam found a tourist information centre and another very sensible person by the name of DJ asked for a map of Oxford. So off we went again, took about 10 mins, then we reached where I had wanted to go all along. The Pitt Rivers museum! yay! We stayed for about maybe an hour, looking around. It had dinosaur plus animal exhibitions and artefacts from Asian, African and American cultures which was right up my street . I took quite a lot of pics with Mike's digital camera, some better than others. When we were on our way out, Angus remembered then that he didn't get a return ticket lol, luckily I had picked his one up thinking you needed two.

After the museum, we decided to walk pointlessly for another half hour or so haha. This time to find a restaurant that we ALL wanted to go in, well with the amount of people that were there, that was easier said than done! On the way there Ali made me laugh like he always does, if I've said this once, I've said it a hundred times, Ali you make me laugh . After half an hour Chris got a tad impatient as he was starving so he bought some Millies Cookies mmmm! Anyway we finally made our way to where you think, go on, i'll give you one guess, if you get it right, you'll get a toffee apple (as my Dad says, strange) indeed it is. Oh well...we found ourselves dtanding outside Pizza Hut of all places! hahaha! Pizza Hut are going to be giving us season tickets soon the amount of times we go there! Anyway some of us including yours truely wanted to eat somwhere else. So we were back at stage one. By this time I was getting particularly hungry so I said the only way we were going to get anywhere was if we split up. So sure enough, Adam, Mike, Em, DJ, Mel, Ellie, Ali and Matt went to Pizza Hut whilst Angus, David, Chris and I went to a rather intriguingly named Chinese restaurant, Cafe Opium which was situated next to Bar Opium lol! It was a really nice restaurant and a lot better than Pizza Hut. I had some crazy drink that Angus and Chris recommended, think it was Tapioca flavoured iced tea or something it was all very good but was really chocolate milk in disguise . The drink also had some strange jelly balls in which Chris said were jelly beans and Angus said were parts of flowers. Who to believe, neither lol. The meal came within about 3 mins after ordering it, I nearly fainted. The food was delicious though! I would have gladly waited ages for it. I had a rice dish, Char Siu Pork, possibly some of the best pork I had ever had! Angus and Chris ate their meals at the speed of light whilst I ate mine in true tortoise fashion, very slowly! Took me about 20 or 25 mins longer to eat all mine. Was so full after.

We then met up with the others and went off exploring (which basically means getting lost but pretending not to be ). We stopped near a tower which we thought of climbimg, well...apart from Em and Ellie. But we then found out we had to pay, it was only around £1.50 but that much just to tire you out by walking up a load of steps, what's the point, so that plan was abandoned. Ellie then took us where to Harry Potter was filmed. Adam, David and Ali all played cards on the grasss whilst Matt, Ellie, Mike, DJ and Mel blagged their way into Oxford university for free. Em, Chris, Angus and I meanwhile went for a fun walk round the canal. Angus took some photos, Chris invented the amzing step slop walk! hahaha! if only we had it on camera! and Em bullied some ducks 'accidentally' by throwing Chris' cookies at them. We also threw a couple of stones NOT at the ducks, tried to make them bounce. Me and Em then hid from Angus and Chris, were found again then got an angry call from Mike asking where we were!? After, we were all united once again, Em hit DJ, Angus and Chris argued in many different languages, i poked fallen leaves with sticks and Adam just generally hit everyone witha bottle.

After the 'relaxing' lay on the grass we went to this ice-cream shop that Ellie recommended. Was very good! I had a Green Tea Ice Cream, same as Angus and it was very good indeed. We stopped there for quite a while, I played the old lie game with Ali. Then we went to catch the next bus back home.

When we got on the bus, I made the mistake of sitting next to Angus who tried to annoy me practically the whole way home by saying random words, repeatedly drawing my attention to stupid signs on the bus and taking pics of me. Near the end of the journey we did sing some crazy song out of me telling him to shut up and leave me alone, very bizarre.

Ellie and Em got a lift home as did Angus and Chris, while the rest of us waited for the next bus. While we waited some random guy came up to us and did a Mr *careers* Clarke and told us his life story! Mel, Adam and I backed away lol. Then the bus finally came and we all went back home. Well...that's one day over with hehe.

Also that week went to the cinema with CJ, Mike, DJ and Mel to see Herbie which was surprisingly really entertaining. Was pretty cheesy but fun all the same. Herbie is soooooo cute for a car lol! (ok starting to sound kinda freaky) after the film we went to City Limits, where I was asked to open my bag for security reasons. Then I had one go on the dance mat to 'Kung Fu Fighting' and surprisingly got higher scores than Mel and Mike. Pool was a very different story though as I got beat by DJ and then by Mike.

I rewatched Fist of Legend. (The original version on VCD not the horrible dubbed one by MiramAXE!) Jet Li proving he is the no 1 martial artist yet again Some absolutely amazing fights and no wires used. All down to genuine skill. After that I rewatched HK movie called 2000 AD which to be honest bored me for the first half an hour, then it got exciting for 20 mins, became a tad boring then got good near the end, wouldn't really recommend this one though, it's ok but nothing spectacular. I also finally watched the recent Korean film Arahan which was really quite funny and had impressive action scenes. Really enjoyable film and the main girl in the movie is real cute too!

That weekend went to work, not much happened then I bought One Foot in the Grave: Series 3 on DVD and lauhed myself silly for 4 hours. Then went round Adams that night, watched Shaun of the Dead, absolutely hilarious film! I literally laughed non-stop through it all. Then we watched a not so funny, pretty naff film by Mr overrated himself, Steven Spielberg *angry comments can be posted later* The film was Jaws, I really don't understand what is so good about it, the beginning is good, the middle is boring, nothing happens! and even put Adam and Ali asleep! the end is ok but VERY short. Probably the 2nd worst shark movie I've seen. The worst being Open Water *shudders!* bad memories!

I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with my mum and sis that weekend, first time I had actually been to the cinema with my sister, she doesn't really like watching films all that much. Crazy! The film was just as fantastically entertaining and funny as the first time I saw it, think I may have to buy this film when it's out on DVD.

When the film had finished my sis started moaning at my mum for some food, I wasn't listening. So we split up for a few mins whilst I waited in Xscape car park for dad to pick us up. While I waited I was approached by a scary looking girl who asked if I could spare any change for the bus back home. She said that she had just been discharged from hospital as she had broken her arm which did actually look broken, she even showed me a bag of pills, plus she did look really ill. Anyway I ended up giving her £1.50, she might not have been ill and she may not have been getting the bus but still better safe than sorry as I always say.

The following week I went to work once or twice, went to see Skeleton Key with Adam, Amy, DJ, Mel, Steve, David, Chris and Bob on the Wednesday. Steve organised this trip and a good job he did too!, was a lot of fun, we even got the deluxe screen and didn't have to pay a penny more, some good going Steve! The film was unintentionally funny and not particularly scary, quite entertaining but wouldn't rush to see it again. After the film we went to good olde Pizza Hut. I had the usual Cajun Chicken Hot One with Chris and shared a little with Steve. The waitress we had was very nice, I think she felt sorry for us, we were all poor that day apart from Adam. She was amazed by the pizza that DJ wanted, said she'd worked there for 3 years but never had an order like that lol Anyway at the end she gave us a whole bowl full of mints. Also when Mel tried to pay Adam back he threw the £5 pounds back and it accidentally landed in Mels drink! lol! Bob, Adam and I then went to catch the bus home, but when we finally ran to get on it, Adam remembered he had left all his things in Pizza Hut so left me and Bob and caught a lift with Amy.

Thursday next, also known as argh! Was results day. In short I didn't do too well. I passed them all but only just. I was shocked at first and couldn't face anyone but after a the initial shock I realised it wasn't the end of the world. The rest of the day was actually really cool, spent the day with Tamsin and Chris, ate lunch with them, then went out.

That night I watched one of the greatest Gundam Seed Destiny episodes yet so it turned out ok in the end lol.

Friday was the start of one awesome fantabulous week! I went to London with Tamsin. I got picked up at around 9.00 and got a lift to London with Tamsins dad. The whole day it was raining, but it didn't spoil the day. We got dropped off at Uxbridge. Oh I forgot to say it turned out that this day was nice day. Everyone we met that day, well...nearly everyone was really nice to us. First off at the Uxbridge tube station we got confused with what ticket we wanted and where to go so we were helped by nice person no 1 who explained it some more then we rushed onto the first train we saw and realised once on there we had got on the wrong one lol. Great start eh? So we had to get off at Baker Street where we could catch the train to Bond Street. It took about 30 mins I think (I'm rubbish with time so I could be wrong) As soon as we got into Bond Street we realised we were starving so we ate lunch at around 11.15. We decided to go into Pret where I had a Peking Duck wrap with hoi sin, egg, lettuce, and tomato even though I'm not a massive fan of egg and tomato. I also had a slice of choclate cake whereas Tamsin had a sandwich of somesort and a yogurt with honey, and nuts I think. Before we went to pay for the food I accidentally dropped half of my wrap on the floor lol!. I never realised there was an opening in the celophane, I just said to Tamsin in horror "I think I may have dropped my wrap on the floor" So I quickly put the wrap with one half back on the shelf and grabbed a full one. Luckily no one saw although there was a big wrap-py mess where I had been stood, but the person at the till was just perfectly nice with us.

Once we'd finished our lunch we walked through Bond Street, bought a couple of things then it was off to the next stop, which was Blackfriars which was near the Tate Modern. Once we got there it wasn't very clear the right way to go so we walked some random way. We only turned back when we realised the pavement was getting thinner and thinner and looked as if we were heading for an indoor car park lol. So even though it was raining, decided to climb over a wall to get to the other end. Tamsin went first and got totally soaked then it was my go, people watching us laughed plus we didn't see that round the other end was a flower bed. (note the fact I said WAS) . So after walking across the Millenium Bridge which I thought was the Jubilee Bridge we arrived at our destination after being searched. Tamsin wanted to especially see a specifiic exhibition by a Mexican artist who I've forgot the name of. It was interesting but not worth £10. Luckily we were under 18 and got in free after overwhelming the staff with our multiple lots of ID as they fought it off lol. Some of the painting were quite disturbing, the artist who had painted them didn't have a very nice life at all and she showed this in most of her work. While we were looking around a phone went off. I thought I bet that's embarassing for whoever's phone that is. Then I realised it was coming from my bag! haha, turned out it was Tamsins. After being sternly looked at by the staff we got back to the painting looking at.

Once we had come to the end we decided it was time for more food so had a mid afternoon 2nd lunch. I had some crazy melon and ginger drink and two gingerbread cookies. Tamsin had a drink of water and a chocolate muffin. We thought we liked the crazy drink at first but then realised it was pretty horrible once we got half way down it. Flipping rip off at £2.30! although suppose you got your money's worth as you could taste it for the rest of the day, yuck.

On the way out of the museum I saw large planks of wood stacked upon each other so I decided to take a closer look, thinking it was modern art. I then realised after looking at it for 10 seconds or so, it was just a pile of unwanted material lol! That says it all about modern art doesn't it!? Tamsin thought it looked like some sort of art too though and we weren't the only ones! We saw some people taking pictures of it! hahaha.

After making our way out I said we should walk it to the Westminster underground. Tamsin thought I had completely lost it. I thought we were near Westminster but we were no way near, I said to her Westminster has changed since last time lol, I can't even find the London Eye. After the confusion we made our way back to the Blackfriars underground after going the correct way which took way longer! We wanted to stop off at Westminster to catch another train to Russel Square way. However on the way we stopped, it must have been for 20 mins lol. Turned out it would have been better if we did walk it! Every now and then the driver would tell us what was happening on the train but we couldn't hear a flipping word he was saying. Sounded as if he was talking with a mouthful of water. I shall give you an example - Driver say "gurgle gurgle gurgle Embankment "gurgle gurgle gurgle train moving sometime in the future! lol! All the people on the train looked at each other as if they were think What the!!? We were laughing loads. Anyway we finally got to Wesminster and had to change to get onto another line to get to Russel Square. Finally we got to the stop we wanted to. On the way out we met a woman who looked like she was having trouble with her suitcase going up the stairs so I offered to carry it for her, as I got to the top the handle adjusted quickly, at first I thought I had broken it but it was fine, phew! She thanked us and then warned us not to go up the stairs that we were approaching as there were like 12 lots of them. We said we'd be ok, me and Tamsin decided to go up them in the end, big mistake! Oh my word! those stairs really did take it out of you, we were nackered once at the top, they were so steep and they made your throat really dry. People looked at us when we got to the top and said you look tired, you went up the steps didn't you? lol!

Then it was onto Russel Square, we got a little lost trying to find the British Museum so had to ask a nice lady in a nearby cafe. Turns out it was right in front of us. So we walked onto the museum until I remembered I needed to buy a disposable camera. Luckily we found a camera shop just down the road. I then asked where the nearest cash macine was, but turned out it was like a mile away, so stuff that, we just had to make do with what we'd got becauise we were both feeling hungry again.

Once into the museum we made our way to the cafe. Was the best cafe I'd ever been to in a museum, was really nice! Tamsin bought another bottle of water and a scone plus a small jar of jam which you had to pay 50p for! I bought possibly the best tasting blackcurrant juice ever! The only reason I bought it was because it was in a nice looking plastic cup with a lid lol,. I'm so stupid. The packaging really does make a difference to gullible people like me, still it was cheaper than the water and it really did taste extremely nice! Ribena berry's eat your heart out! I also bought some strawberries which were in the same sort of packaging as the juice.

Once we'd finished out 3rd small meal we went on to explore the museum, walked through some of the African exhibitions quickly then went onto the Asian ones, starting off with China. We must have only been in there for 25 mins or so and then were thrown out as the exhibition was closing early. I was not impressed! So then me and Tamsin went to the Korean exhibition, after about a minute we were then thrown out of there too! Tamsin asked a woman if there were any Asian exhibitions open, she then answered quite impolitely only the Japanese one where you have to pay! Anyway I only had enough for one person so Tamsin said I should go there while she look around other parts of the museum. It was quite good apart from the fact you couldn't take photos. On the way in I met another kind person who warned me that you had to pay a fee. So after all the exhibitions closing that I wanted to go in and all the other ones still open that didn't interest me or have anything to do with my project we made our way out! Just a quick stop to the gift shop. I could only buy two postcards lol! because I was desperately running out of money! Poor or what, couldn't buy a 3rd postcard at 60p! lol! So I went to a till where a woman was completely ignoring us. I stood there and waited for her to serve us but she didn't! She just stood there typing at the till, didn't even look up! Then I saw a sign on the till saying it was out of order. She could have said something there instead of completely ignoring us though!

We then retraced our steps quite litrerally as we again met the dreaded giant staircase. We don't learn do we!? Of course it was easier going down, wasn't half as tiring, just seemed like it was taking forever plus each stair was quite narrown so we couldn't run down them hehe.

Anyways after an hour on the tube back to Uxbridge (which I had thought would only take 20 - 25 mins - told you I was rubbish with time!) we reached the the car where Tamsins dad was waiting and off we went back home! The first day in a great week.

On the Saturday I went to work for 4 hours that didn't half drag!, was on shop floor and then stock if I remember rightly. Got back home then played 7 fun filled games of Minesweeper Flags. Each was as nail bitingly close as the last but I JUST won overall 4/3. Well played to David though. We also traded Japanese songs because Davids taste in music rocks! Asian Kung Fu-Generation rule!

Sunday was a really exciting day! I met up in London with two friends who I spoke to on the net for over a year! Teik and Alice!

Me and my family all woke up at around 7.30, the earliest we all got up this holiday I think. After an hour and a half of getting ready, eating breakfast, Weetabix for me WITHOUT milk etc we were on our way. Most of the way I listened to my MP3 player. We reached London and we parked just outside London Zoo/Regents Park I think at Baker Street. Before we even got out of the car, we were approached by this absolutely gorgeous French lady(my face) who needed the directions to Buckingham Palace by car. Unfortunately couldn't help. I only knew the way by tube.

Then we got out of the car and walked to the nearest tube station. After a bit of confusion we all hopped onto the tube to ---> the rest will come later, i need a rest lol!

Tuesday, August 09, 2005

Well...well...well...it has been a long time hasn't it. So much has happened since my last blog.

I guess the biggest thing was that I found out what my illness was, it was shingles. I was off school for 8 days and missed 2 weeks of work. But it's ok now, it's all cleared up.

Another big thing is that our old telly blew up hahaha, so now we have a way better, bigger tv and a DVD/VCR player, wohoo!

The other big thing is that it's the Summer holidays, no more school although I must say year 12 has been the best school year of my life!

Now onto the most recent stuff, the day we broke up from school, me, Ali, Matt, Chris, Ben, Adam, CJ, Hannah, DJ, Cheryl, Mark, Sean, Rosie, Katie, Kim and David went to Pizza Hut and bowling! We went to Pizza Hut first where everyone had the buffet apart from me, Adam and Ali who had the Cajun Chicken Hot One, oh yeah! After that played lots of pool, well...I didn't, I watched a lot instead. All the pool grand masters were playing each other aka Ben, Chris, DJ and Matt. Next was bowling, in my team for the first and second game were all the Olney people including Ali, Matt, Adam and Ben. We had bumpers down for all 3 games, just the way I like it. The first game I played rubbish, I only got 74, Sean was great and won that one and Ali won on our team, but the second game I won, I played better than ever before with my best score ever 140! oh yeah! For the third game we swapped Ben for Mark and I got a score of 136, my 2nd best score and won that game too. So that was a very good day hehe.

On Friday I came down with a cold, great timing eh?

On the Saturday I went to work, was an ok day, pleaded with the managers to help me with my shoe care sales and did ok for a change!

Saturday night was great, it was me, Em and Ali around Adams. We played some Smackdown, then played a great game of Monopoly which I also won! (think it was my lucky week) That night we also watched Bruce Almighty and Godzilla. We laughed so much that night, loads of "that's what she saids". We were all really giggly and hyper that night but it was really fun!

On the Sunday I went clothes shopping which rarely happens. Most of the clothes I got were from the Next sale. Altogether that day I bought two jackets, two long sleeved t-shirts, two shirts and two pair of jeans. Unfortunately one pair of jeans were too tight, could hardly walk in them and had to be taken back and the jackets were way too big so they had to be taken back too.

Monday was at work, worked 8 hours, had a massive delivery I had to put away on my own, had some help from Greg which was cool. That was a great day, really fun, spoke to Stevie and Anne Marie loads that day too. Lately I've been enjoying work more and more, let it continue please!

On the Wednesday me, Ali, Adam and Bob went round DJ's. Was fun. Adam drove us up there, we survived just about. First we watched some Takeshi's Castle which is always a laugh. Then we watched Madagascar which was not a laugh. One word overrated! Found it quite disappointing compared to what everyone else said about it. We then played some Smackdown which I was rubbish at, understatement of the century lol.

Thursday Em came round which was great! We played lots of Tekken 5 which we both won quite a lot, played some SSX 3 which I was absolutely thrashed at. Em won every game! Then we played Soul Calibur 2 which I won at first but Em was having none of it and beat me laods after. Em then watched Neighbours while I did something more fun and interesting like sticking pins in my eyes We then argued with my sis about some pizza, haha, some things never change. Then we watched Emmerdale and Eastenders, ah its tradition. Then followed that by two great movies of mine, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Once Upon a Time in China 2. Em liked Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon but couldn't understand why that one movie was so popular. It seemed that she prefered Once Upon a Time in China 2. We laughed a lot at the frankly awful stereotypical English dubbed people and the steak in the face, cup on the head moments. You got great taste girl!

Friday was another great day. First me, mum and sis went on the bus to return some of my clothes previously bought on the Sunday. At the bus stop we met Ali who randomly went to MK too. Ali the man of mystery. When we got to Next the alarm went off when we got through the door, but no one looked at us. It would have appeared that the jeans we were returning had still got the bloody security tag on!. The retail assistant who served us previously had forgotten to take it off! We were lucky that the alarm didn't go off when we went out of the shop on the Sunday lol! The woman who did the refund gave a look of horror when we showed her, haha, oh the hilarity. I swapped one of the jackets for a smaller size which I liked. I then went to House of Fraser for something to eat with my mum and sis which was nice. Then met up with Ali again when my mum and sis went back home on the bus.

We had a look around a couple of shops. I went to WHSmiths and bought a pencil sharpener and rubber (which I later forgot about in the cinema when it was too late), last of the big spenders! We then met DJ and David after, they went to the wrong coffee shop twice as we told them to meet us at Starbucks. There Ali had a mahoosive Hot Chocolate, I think DJ had a slightly smaller one and David had nothing. I had a Chai Tea Latte but said Tai Chi Latte after rehearsing it in my head repeatedly. The girl serving me laughed lol.

Then we met up with Chris at Cineworld after Ali had gone to Virgin to buy 5 DVD's, Spirited Away, Cellular, Spiderman 2 and Lord of the Rings: Return of the King and Van Helsing nooooo hehe. When we got to Cineworld Ali said he wasn't going to see the film with us and he was going to meet up with Matt and his friends while we were in the cinema. Very strange but as I said, man of mystery. At the cinema I bought pick'n'mix as usual, but only took one type of sweet plus 4 of these other really nice ones. The film we watched was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which I have to say was fantastic! Was really funny, great to watch, one of the most entertaining films I've seen for a while. Was def the best Hollywood movie I've seen this year. Johnny Depp was great.

After the film we met Ali outside again and then went onto Pizza Hut. Chris left us just as we went in. At Pizza Hut me and Ali got our usual Cajun Chicken Hot One minus the chicken but way more jalopenos. The pizza also seemed a lot hotter than normal. Me and Ali were having trouble eating it all, a first for everything I suppose. DJ and David had a meat feast pizza but I think DJ prefered the waitress hehe. Then we went off to play some pool. DJ beat Ali and then Ali and me beat DJ and David.

On Saturday worked again, another 4 hours in the stockroom. After work met DJ in WHSmiths where I went to buy another pencil sharpener and rubber as I left the other ones in the cinema, honestly forget my head if it weren't screwed on.

That night I watched Musa the Warrior at flipping last! It'd been in my collection for about 10 or 11 months. It was def worth the wait but I slap myself for not watching it earlier. It was absolutely brilliant. Long film but had me on the edge of my seat. A great Korean war film with the best decapitations ever. Lots of Zhang Ziyi too, now all films need that.

Sunday just did some art work and watched some Japanese music videos, not much that day.

Monday I was at work again. 8 hours on the shop floor. Spoke to Matt loads and Karen who I hadn't seen for like 6 months which was really cool. Lisa the manager was in an extremely mad mood, was funny though. I also saw Kelly again from the other Clarks which was great! I sold a lot that day and nearly reached all three targets. But two is still good.

On Tuesday I was at work again for 4 hours in the downstairs stockroom. I had to rearrange the whole place. I enjoy a challenge though so I found it fun haha. I'm turning into some kind of addicted stock room freak. That day I also bought two DVD's in the HMV sale, 2 for the price of 1, bargain! I bought Casshern and Grave of the Fireflies.

That day I went round Ali's. We played Fusion Frenzy, I was rubbish at it, I've got a LOT worse, hadn't played it for like a year, also played Robot Wars lol, that was a bit mad, played Project Gotham Racing which I sucked at to the extreme and played Timesplitters 2 which was really funny. We also watched Kung Fu Hustle again! Funny as ever! I had curry round Ali's which was really good! Thanks Ali's mum, was very nice indeed, cool chat with Ali's mum too.

Wednesday didn't do much. At lunch I watched Chungking Express, great film, especially if you like romantic dramas, was quite funny too, brilliant actors and I love the themesong by Faye Wong. In the evening went for a walk round Weston Underwood (which wasn't part of the plan!, Matt will back me up on that!) with Adam, Ali, Matt and Em. It was ok, but why there, there was nothing, we did however go to this Cowpers Oak thing, quite historical, good for Em.

On Thursday me, Matt, Em, Amy, James, DJ and David went to the cinema to watch Fantastic 4 which wasn't so fantastic, misleading it was. It was ok, lots of very cheesy one liners, made me and Amy angry. The movie was like X-Men but worse basically. Reasonably entertaining, I had my pick'n'mix though so I was happy haha. Before however we played pool. The first game was Matt v DJ. DJ just won, it was very close, then me and Amy played DJ and Em. Amy you rule lol. Amy has got to be the craziest pool player in the history of the universe, the most unforgettable game, it was insane. Anyway apparently we won, we didn't realise till Matt told us (yup we're that good)

Later that night I watched Grave of the Fireflies and oh my word. One amazing anime!! That has got to be the saddest film I have ever seen! It was so painful to watch, absolutely beautiful film but oh so sad. You have to watch it to believe it.

Friday Ali came round mine and we had loads of flashbacks, thinking of the good olde days as we played the original Timesplitters, was really funny, great game! Then we played Tekken 5 which Ali beat me at, near the end I started to collect a few more wins, only a few though. Later on we watched the last episode of Gundam Seed lol. That evening me, Ali, Em and Matt went walkies again. This time planning to go to Emberton again but just missing, we walked around a couple of fields near Emberton, took us about an hour maybe. In the end we had walked around in one overgrown pointless circle! On the way I saved a lot of slugs from a squishing. Never seen so many in my life! I warned everyone about them lol, a job well done! After the walk we sat in a field, a very prickly, spikey field at that! We just chat, laughed and told lots of REALLY bad jokes! plus we heard more of those damn crazy cow car people. (You know what I mean)

Saturday was at work again, 4 more fun filled hours in stock. Later that day, went on MSN and wrote film reviews for a really cool site, www.shaolinchamber.com for martial arts films it is the best! Fantastic site, one of my faves. Later that night watched an old school Jet Li kung fu movie, Shaolin Temple: Martial Arts of Shaolin, entertaing, fun and impressive film, really funny when Jet Li disguises as a shepardess lol!

Sunday I rewatched In the Line of Duty 4. Good literally non-stop action film, enjoyed it more the second time but I have seen better still. Rest of the day didn't do much, the old MSN and whatnot.

Monday I went to work for 8 hours, one of the strangest days of work but before I get onto that the bus journey. I met the biggest chav to have graced the planet. There I was happily listening to my MP3 player, when I look in complete horror. Luckily he didn't realise it was me as I just stared in the opposite direction. I did not want to speak to him!

Before work I just looked around the shops, ended up buying a Korean martial arts comedy, Arahan which I heard was really good. (can't wait to see it)

At work I was in stock as usual, I was lugging about 20 shoe boxes in a giant box at once up the stairs repeatedly, enjoyed it a lot, like stock changes and it went really quickly. It was a laugh with Matt helping me. All in all, that day must have gone up those stairs 25 times at least. The most shocking thing was they told me that day I was working too hard, Margaret ordered me to rest as I had basically been running around all day, she said I was going to make myself sick as I was dripping with sweat and was exhausted lol. So she said have a rest, make yourself a cup of tea and put the fan on. I was like , can't complain though, getting paid to take it easy for half hour aswell as my lunch break. After that, helped a very stressed Lisa with stock in the downstairs stockroom, was really funny. Good fun, but bizarre day all in all. At the very end of the day I was that shattered I went home the wrong way! Nearly missed my bus haha!

Later that night spoke to Angus on MSN, hadn't spoke to him for a week. We had a really great, interesting and very scary 4/5 hour convo!

When we arrived about an hour or so later we got off the coach and split up into smaller groups. I split up with Sophie, Chris, Tamsin and Scott. At first we were just lost, didn't know where to go to start with. Then we were told by one of the helpers there was a tour so we thought that would be a decent place to start. The tour was very interesting, we were showed the student union, many of the facilities and services, some of the subjects, main halls and the accomodation. I was overall majorly impressed with the sports facilities. It seemed as if half of the university was dedicated just to sport, so not really my sort of uni. The accomodation I thought was ok but then I had nothing to compare it to. After the tour we stopped for some lunch in the shade under a giant weirdly shaped tree. Soon after that we just wandered around looking for particular subjects. I was most interested in seeing the drama facilities, as was Chris. When I got there I wasn't massively impressed with the place, the theatre was quite cool but overall, it didn't seem all that different to Ousedale. I'm sure it would be great for lots of other people but I knew that definitely wasn't the place for me. Anyways after many drinks, ice lollies, sitting in the shade and hours of walking around the large campus in the baking hot sun it was time to go.

When I got home I was pretty tired out. It had been quite a long day and the sun drained lots of my energy but when I saw what was waiting for me, all that energy came back. I saw a parcel for me on the table, Tekken 5 wohoo! at last!!!!!! *Jumps up and down in excitement* A day earlier than in the shops, wasn't expecting that. I got to say Tekken 5 is awesome, gorgeous graphics, great tunes, voices and sound affects and it's completely addictive with loads of different fighting styles and quicker gameplay. I would highly recommend it but I am a massive Tekken fan. I'll probably write a more in depth review of it later.

Moving onto Friday, went to Leeds University, had to get up at 6.15! The coach left at 7.30, I'm usually still asleep then lol. Didn't know quite what to expect from it but whatever I was expecting, it totally blew all expectations away. I was very impressed with the whole place and the range of courses. The accommodation was at least 5 times better than Loughbroughs. You could hardly squeeze two people through a corridor there but at Leeds there was lots more room and the rooms were so much more homely and looked really nice. I went round the Uni with Tamsin, Sophie and Chris. We had thorough look around the place. The library was astonishing, 13 levels! It had every book to grace the planet lol (so it seemed anyway). I had a look at the drama course and heard a talk about it. Again I was not impressed but even before the trip I really wasn't bothered about going. I then looked further at the prospectus looking at other courses. Lately I've been disliking drama more and more and I really don't like the idea of becoming an actor anymore. Just don't seem to have the passion for it I did before and I really don't like the idea of carrying on with it for university. Anyways not to deviate from the point, I had a quick look at other courses and there was Chinese, unfortunately the talks for it were either too early or too late. I've read a lot about it though and it sounds absolutely amazing and I am seriously considering it.

After the uni tour we looked at some of the rented student accommodation and it was horrible but what do you expect? Then we stopped off in the city centre. While Tamsin and Sophie did some shopping, Chris and I looked for a Pizza Hut lol. We looked absolutely everywhere and when we finally gave up and made our way back, guess what was staring us right in the face!? We just passed it at the very start, haha. On the way we met a scary looking person our age but with about 4 or 5 teeth, he told us a long story and said he needed some money, any small donation was welcome. I was about to say I'd got none when Chris got out his wallet and gave him some small change so I quicky did the same. Better safe than sorry I guess, better to lose 30p than get a smack in the face. I was just glad to leave the person. Chris then rang Tamsin on her mobile but he realised he had no credit and I had forgot my phone. Uh oh! I then went to the nearest pay phone and tried to get hold of them, it wouldn't work, I was getting worked up with it, getting quite angry when Chris pointed out it might be broke. It was as it never took the money in the first place, haha. I then found another one and asked them where they were, after a few mins we finally met and went to Pizza Hut. The food was delicious as usual, Chris was so hungry he asked for a medium pizza to himself but there were none left so he got two individual! Think he regretted it after though.

On the bus back Ali, Jade, Ellie, Hannah, Adam, Tindle, Amy, Jack, Vicky and Alex played eye spy for two hours! It was more fun than you'd expect. I picked three which no one guessed. Finally we arrived back in Newport at about 10.00. Ali then came round mine once we got back into Olney. We played Tekken 5 non stop till 5.00 in the morning. I beat Ali loads at versus, he beat me a lot at Team Battle.

Saturday woke up at about 11.00 played Tekken 5 loads again then went to the cinema to see Kung Fu Hustle. I was expecting it to be good but no way was I expecting it to be as great as it was, going again to see it this week and hopefully again after that. Ali even said it could be the best film he'd ever seen. It is hilarious and the action and special effects are out of this world. I urge everyone to see this film especially if you're a fan of Stephen Chows earlier work as this is one of the best films I've seen him in.

The high lights and low lights of this week were being told we had loads more geog. We had to come up with an idea for our final two massive units, practical and essay form for our art projects. Mine is East Asian Art and I can't wait to get started on it. Going to put 100% into this project! One of my art teachers has the greatest book ever on Eastern Asian Art with over 700 pages! I spent a whole planning lesson looking through it in amazement. I've also had this pain all week in my sholuder blade and my ribs, they ache lots, sometimes I get sharp pains too. My mum says it might be a virus, getting it checked next week sometime. This week was asked to do some backstage work for Bugsy Malone, the large school drama production. This was because I didn't want to act in it and they need more help. I'm not all that excited about it and I am very nervous because they want me to help with lighting! *shivers* This week I also recieved Infernal Affairs back which I had borrowed to a friend.

On Friday we celebrated Steves birthday. Happy Birthday Steve! When I say we, I mean Steve obviously, David, Hannah, Mike, Emily, Bob, Matt, Ali, Ben, Mel, Alex and I. Went to see War of the Worlds which I thought was pretty average, the little girl in it is really annoying, she never stops screaming! Lots of my friends liked the film a lot though. A good summary of the film can be found at Ali's site. After the film we went to Pizza Hut, ate lots of food, had loads of starters as well as main and played lots of Big Two and Black Jack, started betting for chicken wings and slices of cajun chicken pizza, haha pleased to say I won both times. Also on Friday was approached by Cerise, Mel and Hannah about a new club. One where we watch films loads, go to the cinema every week the discuss them at lunch. Haha nothing changed really but I was well up for it, sounds great. So far there are lots of people in the club. The Friday gang oh yeah!!! This week I also watched a few more phases of Gundam Seed. It's getting real exciting now!

Today didn't do much apart from do lots of geog earthquake homework and play Tekken 5. Later went out, played crazy ball games with Adam, Ben, Ali, Matt, Bob and Ems. Then ripped my trousers while playing football! After we walked Matt and Ben back home we then went back to Adams and watched Team America and it was hilarious once again. Finally that brings me to now where I am writing this blog and finishing it right here.

Toodleloo peeps!
